Ein Setup mit Bremse ist eine gute Idee beim Erlernen der Grundlagen auf deinem BMX-Bike. Vor allem, wenn du auch hin und wieder im Verkehr damit unterwegs bist. Bei manchen Tricks ist eine Bremse sehr hilfreich und auch in der Bowl, um die Geschwindigkeit zu kontrollieren.

| "This brake simply does not work (I have been building my mountain bikes and BMX bikes for 22 years, I installed it properly), there is no braking power at all even with 2 fingers, I can basically stop faster using my shoe. The lever is just awful, it is super heavy and chunky for no purpose, makes annoying squeaky and rattling noises even when you go over small bumps on the road and it won't stay in place on the handlebar no matter how much you tighten it. Now imagine you give a BMX bike to your kid that has this brake installed, and kids don't have the strongest hands. The BMX industry is stuck in the past with really old tech that simply does not work. Anyway, it's not Skatepro's fault, but this brake is good to go to the bin after only 3 days of trying to use it. And sure you can say you can put softer pads that make your bike sound like an aggressive goose if you're into that kind of thing, but this brake is useless right out of the 'box'." | |

We must agree that the efficiency of so called u-brake type brakes on BMX bikes is not really satisfying. However, we stand behind the quality of this particular product, as this is one of the best u-brakes available from a brand well known for its quality products. As you mentioned, upgrading to clear/soft brake pads, usually helps, yet is accompanied by loud squeaky sound. It has its pluses and minuses.
